AP Knock Analysis Spreadsheet

This is our first attempt to provide useable knock information from the K20Z3 knock sensor for Cobb AP users. Make sure your datalogs include the following variables:

1. Vehicle Speed in MPH
2. MAP in PSI
3. RPM
4. Knock #

The spreadsheet will calculate a noise threshold and then check where your noise is louder then expected. You can play with the variables to move things up and down and locate your louder noise. Don't worry to much about part throttle knock. As long as its under 500 at part throttle I wouldnt be too concerned. Alot of times the Knock Mic picks up road noise or suspension noise and this doesn't help either. Also keep in mind the natural resonance of our engine is 2500 RPM (try in neutral) so cruising at this RPM will be louder as well.

This sheet is just designed to help you get an idea how to make use of the knock value provided by the AP. There may be future revisions based on your feedback. Keep in mind this is just a tool and as such use at your own risk.
