high rev on start up 3000 rpm???

whats up fellas i was wondering is this bad on cold startup reving that high almost to 3000 ???? ist this normaol how do i stop or tune this

im pretty sure the 8th gen civics rev high on start up and slowly goes down to normal atleast mine does as well

yeah, mine does that as well at least to about 2500 rpm when it's cold. As it warms up it drops to regular idle speed or 750-850 rpms.

I changed the Idle tables on

I changed the Idle tables on mine, first thing I modified when I got AP.  The Idel targer RPM starts at 1100 and tapers down to 750.  The idle targer RPM initial starts at 1200 and tapers down to 950.  It is usually around 30 degress in the morning and my car starts at about 1500 for about 3 seconds and then settles to 1200.  About 45 sec later it jumps to 1500 again for like 5 sec. 

The whole reason for this is to warm up the catalystic faster.

If your car is jumping up to 3000 rpm when it starts, you need to pull the AAV. I made a post on 8th in the ECU section about it.
